Alpha Gamma Delta
Alpha Gamma Delta, an international women's fraternity, was founded on May 30, 1904 at Syracuse University. Eleven women with unwavering and courageous dedication to making the world a better place through the love and power of sisterhood began a tradition that has continued and flourished across North America. Presently, over 165,000 Alpha Gamma Delta sisters at nearly 200 colleges and universities strive to achieve academic excellence, perform service in their communities and abroad, and work collaboratively to sustain and build upon traditions to fortify friendships that make Alpha Gamma Delta stand apart as an organization of compassionate, driven women.
Our Chapter
The sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta “hold truth inviolable, sincerity essential, kindness invaluable,” and “welcome the opportunity of contributing to the world’s work.” Through the possession and attainment of “high ideals” and the “love of Womanhood,” the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta learn and live the meaning of family every day. At the Zeta Pi chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta, we work to honor our national purpose and to develop strong, worldly, and confident women who are dedicated to initiating reform on campus, in Philadelphia, and throughout the nation. Our chapter has also had the highest GPA on campus for many years.
Every year, we elect passionate and devoted new leaders to reestablish and promote the purposes and goals of our chapter. The sisters Alpha Gamma Delta at Saint Joseph’s University are involved and active in numerous other campus organizations, yielding each woman the opportunity to bring a unique perspective and background of knowledge to the chapter. Our sisters are leaders and members of:
